Jorge Medrano
JORGE MEDRANO (b. 1989, San Salvador, El Salvador) is a multidisciplinary artist and social communicator. He holds a degree in Social Communication from the Universidad Centroamericana “José Simeón Cañas” (UCA). Medrano’s practice critically engages with the complex intersections of familial narratives, temporality, historical memory, and systemic violence. His work seeks to articulate the social and political dynamics embedded within these core thematic concerns

Mauricio Esquivel
(b. 1983, El Salvador) is an artist and curator whose multidisciplinary practice critically explores migration, memory, and identity, with a focus on the legacies of colonialism and post-colonialism. He has established a significant international presence, exhibiting since 2008 in major venues and biennials, including La Habana, Cuenca, and the Visual Arts Biennial of Central America. His notable solo shows include Las Hieleras (MARTE, El Salvador). Esquivel’s work, which generates reflection on contemporary social issues and cultural identities, is held in permanent collections such as the Wilfredo Lam Institute (Cuba) and the World Bank.
En
Espacio42B inaugurates its first performance cycle, a multidisciplinary program that periodically convenes both local and international artists throughout the calendar year.
Each iteration is characterized by a distinctly curated ambiance, generating aesthetic and communal experiences for the public within a venue that intentionally operates as an alternative to conventional institutional dynamics (or to the conventional institutional paradigm).
